Jill Seale, MSW, CSWA

Associate Therapist

We derive meaning from stories, and the beliefs we have about ourselves can affect the choices we make and the realities we can see for ourselves. Jill uses narrative therapy to empower people to take back control of their stories and see themselves as capable of making the changes they want to see in their lives. Jill graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Portland State University in 2020 and has worked as a mental health counselor ever since. She prioritizes approaches that are person-centered, trauma-informed, and based in research.

Jill works with adolescents and adults who are experiencing things like anxiety, depression, dissociation, gender dysphoria, and with people who have had traumatic experiences. She sees the therapeutic relationship and a person’s openness to change, as well as effective evidence-based treatment, as the key components of success in therapy.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Jill is proud to offer specialized care around sexual and gender identity and the difficulties that come with living in a culture that was not made for us. Her core values of curiosity and empathy help to avoid placing assumption or judgment onto your life experiences. She believes that all ways of expressing yourself are valid and beautiful.
